What does Sowéli mean?

Sowéli is a word from the Gouro tribe in Côte-d’Ivoire. It means “my beautiful horsetail.” In the Gouro tribe, every animal has a deeper meaning and horses represent beauty. Essentially, Sowéli alludes to your outward and inward beauty and grace.

What is your objective?

Thrifting and searching for vintage finds is both a therapeutic and exciting experience. But, in order to find quality pieces, you have to have time and patience. With this in mind, at Sowéli, we know that many people love their vintage finds but don’t have the time to shop. We provide beautiful vintage and thrifted pieces that are carefully curated, inspected, and cleaned for your convenience. All you have to do is pick your favorite pieces, knowing that there will no unpleasant surprises.

When will you release new items?

New items will be released twice a month. Each item is one of one and there will be no restocks. If an item is ever restocked, this will be specially announced on Instagram.

Do you offer international shipping?

As we work to streamline our process, international shipping will be done on a case by case basis. Please DM or email us if you need international shipping. 

When will my items ship?

Orders will be shipped out on a weekly basis every Saturday via USPS. You will receive an email with your tracking number once your order ships. If you have any questions, please use the contact form or email us at support@soweli.com

Do you offer exchanges or refunds?

Without exception, we do not offer exchanges, returns, or refunds. We provide detailed measurements and descriptions to allow you to make the best decision. But if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us or DM us on Instagram before finalizing your order. Our goal is to make sure you feel confident about every purchase you make.

Where are your clothes from?

Our inventory comes from estate sales, auctions, garage sales, consignment stores, and various thrift stores all over the country and internationally. Every item is closely inspected, and if there are any defects, these will be pictured and listed in the item’s description.
